Accessibility statement.

We want Business Compliance Tools to be clear and usable for as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology. This statement explains what we tested, what we found and what is still open.

Conformance status

We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

businesscompliancetools.com partially conforms with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conforms means that some content does not fully conform yet, or has not been tested well enough for us to say that it does. The known issues are listed below.

This is our own assessment. No independent auditor has reviewed the site, and the site is not certified by anyone.

What this statement covers

This statement covers the public pages of businesscompliancetools.com: the homepage, the website review pages and sample report, the review request form, the price list, the free browser tools, and the company and legal pages.

It does not cover documents you download from a tool, the email app that opens when you choose to email us, or other websites we link to.

How we tested

We tested on October 27, 2026, in Chromium (the engine behind Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge), at a desktop width of 1,440 pixels and a phone width of 375 pixels.

  • Automated checks. We ran axe-core 4.13 with every WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 Level A and AA rule on 18 pages: the homepage, prices, the website review page, the accessibility and privacy review pages, the sample report, contact, about, terms, privacy, this statement, the tool catalog and six free tool pages.
  • Scripted manual checks. An automated agent, not a person, operated the pages with the keyboard only. It checked the skip link, the order and visibility of keyboard focus in the main navigation and the review request form, and what happens when the form is sent with errors.
  • Zoom, spacing and motion. The same agent checked that 14 pages reflow without sideways scrolling at 640 pixels wide (200% zoom) and 320 pixels wide (400% zoom), that text stays readable with increased line, letter and word spacing, and that animations stop when the reduced motion setting is on. It also measured the contrast of text placed over photos.

No person has yet tested the site with a screen reader, screen magnifier or voice control, and we have not run testing sessions with people with disabilities. Automated checks find only part of the barriers that people can meet.

Results

After the fixes below, axe-core reported no WCAG 2.2 Level A or AA violations on the 18 tested pages at either width. Keyboard users could reach every link and control we tested in a logical order, each had a visible focus outline, and the skip link moved focus to the main content.

We fixed four problems on October 27, 2026:

  • Long email addresses forced sideways scrolling at 400% zoom on the contact and privacy pages (WCAG 1.4.10 Reflow). They now wrap.
  • A photo caption on the website review page fell below the required contrast at phone width (WCAG 1.4.3 Contrast). The shading behind it is now darker.
  • Tool category labels on the homepage were cut off when text spacing was increased (WCAG 1.4.12 Text Spacing). They now wrap.
  • The embed code box on website checker tool pages had a label that some screen readers ignore (WCAG 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value). It now has a region role.

Known issues and limits

  • The review request form uses your browser's built-in error messages. They name one field at a time and disappear after a few seconds, and there is no lasting error text next to the field. We plan to add error text that stays on the page.
  • We tested a sample of the free tools, not all 536. We checked each tool page as it first loads, not the results, warnings or export steps inside a tool.
  • We have not tested downloaded Word, PDF or spreadsheet files, including the sample report downloads, against document accessibility standards. How accessible they are also depends on the software used to open them.
  • We have not tested in Safari or Firefox, or with any screen reader, on this date.
