How to keep a California privacy request deadline record
A useful request clock preserves the inputs and route, not only a date copied into a calendar.
Preserve first receipt
Record the first channel, date, time and request wording. A transfer between teams must not erase the original receipt evidence.
Record the route and assumptions
Keep the request type, identity steps, authorised-agent position, scope assumptions and any extension decision in separate fields.
Close with delivery evidence
Record what was delivered, the delivery time, any exception relied on, the decision owner and the communication sent to the requester.
