Substance list comparison

Substance list comparison is a free browser tool that produces complete on-screen source-linked findings, free result JSON and CSV, and complete annotated or transformed working datasets from declared material substances and identified versioned substance list. Mechanical working results use exact supplied source populations and your rules.

Free. No account or payment needed.

Your browser is preparing this tool.

What does the substance list comparison produce?

Compare declared substances against an explicitly identified and versioned supplied list.

Use the exact local files and task-specific inputs listed below. Preparation and review stay in this browser. Inspect all findings before preparing the finalized pack.

What do you need before you start?

  • Define the authorized source population and your review rules.
  • Keep the unchanged original files and record the snapshot and exclusions.
  • Review missing and invalid inputs before preparing the finalized pack.

What information do you enter?

Select the actual local sources and freeze the task-specific inputs below. Keep source files and complete findings private.

  • Declared material substances. Exact headings material_id, substance_id, substance_name, concentration, unit.
  • Identified versioned substance list. Exact headings list_id, list_version, substance_id, operator, threshold, unit, valid_from, valid_until, source_ref.
  • Review reference. Customer-controlled review reference.
  • Review owner. Responsible customer reviewer.
  • Observation date. Real YYYY-MM-DD date. Effective date intervals include both endpoints.
  • Selected source scope. Name actual populations, versions, period and known omissions.
  • Population declaration. Choose the explicit working rule before preparing a result.
  • Selected list ID. Exact supplied list_id.
  • Selected list version. Exact supplied list_version.

How does the substance list comparison work?

  1. 1
    Select the actual sources

Declared material substances. Exact headings material_id, substance_id, substance_name, concentration, unit.

  2. 2
    Freeze the review rules

Match exact substance_id against the selected list_id and list_version at the observation date. Keep inactive and overlapping list entries visible. Compare exact concentrations only when units match, using each supplied operator Listed, >= or >. Report supplied-list matches and threshold relationships without deciding a restriction, material safety, legal applicability or compliance.

  3. 3
    Inspect complete findings

Review all source-linked results and unresolved items. Free JSON and CSV preserve complete results.

  4. 4
    Keep recoverable work

Inputs and exact source bytes save locally and survive reload. Strict restores verify tool identity, input schema, original hashes and parsed bytes before atomic replacement. Earlier generic work, prior checkpoint files and purchases remain preserved separately.

  5. 5
    Prepare the finalized pack

Prepare seven core files and the exact selected attachments, then download them free. Review the fictional sample below.

Concentrations and thresholds are nonnegative plain decimals with at most six fractional places. Unit conversion, substance synonym inference and registry authentication are unsupported.

At most 5000 rows, 50 fields, 100000 cells and 5000000 parsed characters per source, 10 MB per file. Exact decimal arithmetic supports 12 whole digits and 6 fractional places.

Complete reviews are bounded to 20000 findings and 15000000 result characters. Split larger populations into explicit source batches.

Formal reports show at most 100 findings and 400 characters per displayed field. Complete sources, findings and working output values remain in Excel and JSON.
