Who this tool is for

UK nominated officers, MLROs and authorised compliance staff reviewing an internal disclosure. Turn the facts and authorised human decision into a complete, structured record for an ordinary POCA or ordinary TACT route.

Supported use

  • One ordinary POCA or ordinary TACT record selected by an authorised human
  • A human submit or no-report decision, with parties, identifiers, property, transactions, chronology and references
  • Deterministic completeness and consistency checks against the supported UKFIU submission subjects

Have ready

  • Organisation, internal reference, reporter, nominated officer, decision-maker and decision dates
  • The human-selected POCA or TACT route and human report or no-report decision
  • Main and associated parties, available identifiers, facts, UK nexus, property and transaction records
  • Chronology, evidence references, separate reporting routes and restricted-handling confirmations

Needs separate review

  • Whether suspicion exists or an external report is legally required
  • DAML or DATF requests, legal privilege and consequential action
  • Submitting to the UKFIU, police, safeguarding services or emergency services

How it works

  1. Record the authorised routeIdentify the internal disclosure, human decision-maker, POCA or TACT route and submit or no-report decision.
  2. Enter the facts and evidenceKeep parties, identifiers, property, transactions, chronology and evidence references in separate structured records.
  3. Resolve the preflightReview every blocking or inconsistent item. DAML, DATF and combined POCA and TACT routes stop the export.
  4. Download the restricted recordCreate the ten formal and structured files locally. The tool does not submit information anywhere.

Where does this task apply?

Choose the guidance set this tool should use. The interface and outputs stay in English.

Available guidance sets

Using United Kingdom guidance.

Prepare a complete record for an authorised human decision.

Check an ordinary POCA or TACT record, preserve the facts and create the working files. The tool never determines suspicion and never submits a SAR.

Restricted and browser-localCase facts and generated files stay on this device. Store the download under your approved access controls.
1

Control the record and select the route

Record who received, reviewed and decided the internal disclosure. Select only a route already determined by an authorised person.

Legal route selected by the authorised person

POCA and TACT suspicions must be kept as separate records.

Human decision

The tool records this decision. It does not make it.

Is a defence request involved?

DAML and DATF require a different route and this tool will stop.

2

Record the parties and available identifiers

Keep each person or legal entity separate and show how associated parties connect to the main party.

Main partyRecord information already held. Do not collect new data merely to fill a field.
3

Set out the facts in plain English

Distinguish who, how, when and why. Preserve the UK nexus and intended next steps without speculation.

Assembled reason for suspicion0 / 8,000 characters
Has criminal or terrorist property been identified?
Does the concern involve suspicious transactions?
4

Complete the evidence and control record

Add stable references. A SAR is not a replacement for crime, safeguarding or emergency reporting.

What this tool checks

The scope stays narrow so the result is clear and reproducible.

  • Requires a human-selected ordinary POCA or TACT route and a human submit or no-report decision.
  • Checks supported party, identifier, narrative, property, transaction, chronology, reference and control fields.
  • Stops combined POCA and TACT records, DAML or DATF requests and every unresolved blocking item.

From official material to a working record

Official material sets the basis

Official UKFIU and HMRC material explains ordinary SAR content, structured Portal fields, confidentiality and retention expectations.

The tool prepares the operational record

The preflight applies those supported observable checks consistently while leaving suspicion, legal duty and submission with authorised humans.

Official sources stay visible

Each supported check shows its jurisdiction, source title, source version and review date beside the result. Unsupported cases are rejected rather than estimated.

Questions before you use the tool

Scope, files, evidence and browser-local handling.

Does the tool decide whether I should submit a SAR?

No. It requires an authorised human submit or no-report decision and records that decision. It never determines suspicion or legal duty.

Can I prepare a DAML or DATF request?

No. Selecting DAML, DATF or an uncertain defence route stops the export and directs the user to current UKFIU guidance or specialist review.

What if both money-laundering and terrorist-financing suspicions apply?

The tool stops the combined route. UKFIU guidance says the POCA and TACT suspicions should be kept as separate records.

Does it submit the SAR or upload case information?

No. The tool and all ten outputs run in the browser. It does not connect to the SAR Portal or upload case facts.

Prepare the restricted SAR record

Record the human decision, resolve every blocking preflight item and download the ten working files.
